Fighting for the Rights of Veterans
Our nation’s veterans sacrifice a great deal for our country. When these brave men and women come home, they deserve the best medical care, rehabilitation services, and legal help we have to offer. At the law office of Gregory H. Zogran, I am honored to represent the rights of the people who have given so much to ensure our freedom. I devote a significant portion of my practice to helping veterans obtain pension benefits and compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Along with a dedicated support staff, I represent veterans throughout Florida and around the country.
Federal VA Benefits
If you are a veteran of the armed forces, you are entitled to a host of benefits from the VA administration. The federal government has established a network of services and assistance for veterans who return home with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), physical impairment, and mental difficulties. Although these benefits are tremendously helpful, obtaining them can be a long, circuitous process.
Fortunately, you do not have to do it alone. As an attorney admitted to practice before our nation’s veterans’ court, I can help you apply for and receive the compensation you need to move on with your life and get the help you deserve. Many of the veterans I help seek me out because they have been referred by a current or former client. There is no greater compliment than knowing a member of our military recommends my firm to others in need.
What You Need to Know about Veterans Benefits and Disability
Along with their spouses and minor children, veterans are entitled to receive an array of VA disability benefits. To qualify, the disability in question must be service-related. Additionally, these benefits vary depending on the nature and severity of the disability.
The VA determines the amount of compensation based on three specific criteria:
- The disability must be current as well as diagnosed by a physician or other health care professional.
- The disability must have been caused by a specific injury, event, or disease during service.
- The veteran must be able to show medical evidence of a connection between his or her service and the disability.
For over two decades, I have helped veterans navigate the benefits process. My office handles all types of VA benefit-related matters, including:
- Filing claims
- Preparing Notices of Disagreement
- Pursuing appeals of denials of benefits
- Hearing appearances
You fought long and hard for your country. If you have been hurt in the line of duty, it is time for someone to fight for you. Whether you need to file a claim or your claim has been denied, I will do everything in my power to ensure you receive the help you and your family deserve.
Let Us Help
Winning an appeal against the federal government is neither simple nor easy. If your claim has been denied, you owe it to yourself to hire an attorney to represent your interests.
